Guardamar del Segura is an outstanding spot graced by breezes from the Mediterranean owing to its 11 kilometres of dunes and fine sandy beaches. It is typical fishing village that combines attractions for visitors with the personality of local people. Next to its extensive beaches, one of the longest in Europe, is a huge pine forest, allowing us to enjoy nature in all its splendour. Plus, Guardamar is particularly noted for its imposing dunes, which are composed of sediments of the River Segura that the waves and tides have brought to the coast. Another interesting feature of the town is the large Reina Sofia park, with its wide diversity of trees and plants in a joyful display of nature, as well as a big lake that swans and ducks call home, to the delight of children and grown-ups alike.
